Merino Consulting Services BV is proud to announce that will carry out the implementation of Infor CloudSuite for modernizing VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG), headquartered in Eindhoven, enterprise resource planning (ERP) Baan solution and support the realization of the ‘’digital factory’’ vision.
Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise will be used by VDL ETG as a rollout in the high-tech cluster of VDL Group. VDL ETG’s transition will bring the core production processes for microchip machines for customers in the semiconductor industry into the cloud together with financial, administration, and various other components. This will shape digital transformation, further develop automation of processes, and improve real-time information provision. With this, VDL ETG expects to bring the optimization of production quality, efficiency, and scalability of operational processes to a whole new level.
The implementation of Infor CloudSuite is a necessary action due to rapid developments in semiconductor equipment manufacturing that involve complex configurations and the continuously increasing demand for chips. Through increased visibility and control, the Infor solution improves the manufacturing process, increases efficiency, and reduces risk in the supply chain will transform all core components of VDL ETG’s production process into a single integrated architecture. This will facilitate the ‘’digital factory’’ vision of VDL ETG. The full implementation of Infor CloudSuite will be carried out and supported by Merino Consulting Services BV as a partner of Infor.

As Charel van Hoof, digital transformation executive at VDL ETG, stated: “We were working with a Baan system and because Baan merged into Infor, and Infor offers a proven good solution, fitting our business processes, the choice of pursuing with the implementation was logical”. The transition will be horizontal to keep processes such as code numbers recognizable for people, further adds Charel van Hoof.
