Tilburg University Challenge
Over the past months, participants from more than 50 teams began a journey to uncover their entrepreneurial and innovative talents. They followed multiple workshops and coaching sessions with Tilburg University Challenge’s sponsors. Moreover, all teams took part in the Speed Date Event, to establish a partner network and bring their project to the next level. The 12 most promising teams were selected to present their business idea one more time in the Grand Finale, which was moderated by Simone van Trier.
In both categories, Business-Ready and Ideation, the top teams were selected by the expert jury to take part in the final battle during the Q&A session. The jury consisted of Dirk van den Berg, Johan Ringeling from Interpolis, Bart Hollants from the Ministry of Defence, Brigit van Dijk from BOM, Sjaak Spreeuw from Politie, Ralf Daggers from Midpoint, Harald Elissen from BDO, Lilian Damen from Rabobank Tilburg, and Martijn van Gruijthuijsen from Noord-Brabant.
With a broad variety of amazing ideas about technology, safety, health, and human resources, the finalists made quite the impression on the expert jury, partner network, and audience. After intense jury deliberation, teams FOCUS and Mindful Sprint were announced the category winners of the Tilburg University Challenge 2022 on July 7th. They received the Ideation and Business Ready Awards, respectively.
Mindful Sprint was a project developed by Zoia Shakhova and guided by Merino Consulting Services BV. She developed a digital training program that establishes people’s unhealthy digital habits, supports and orientates them towards new ones, and eventually improves their digital health.
The award was presented by Katrin Williamson, Project Coordinator of the Tilburg University Challenge, and Edward van de Pol. She will receive financial sponsorship as well as further guidance from Tilburg University to continue progressing in the project.
